Community Acupuncture Sessions

Future dates & times & locations TBD in Florida and DC/VA/MD areas

[If not part of a govt-sponsored program, participation in donation-only group sessions is based on a sliding scale of $25-50pp]

Sessions last ~45 min (which includes ~20 min of relaxing with needles in). All medical/consent info is kept strictly confidential.

To maintain a relaxed, tranquil lounge setting in my private clinic[s], group sizes will be limited to 8 people per session.

Community Acupuncture sessions are a great way to receive more frequent acupuncture sessions at a very reduced rate and in a community-supportive environment. Such sessions can also be a wonderfully effective physical/mental/emotional support service when used in conjunction with other community support services and/or your primary physical or mental healthcare services, particularly when addressing chronic pain, addictions, mental/emotional issues, cancer treatment side-effects, and trauma, such as PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). I am a certified NADA Acu-Detox Specialist (USA) with hundreds of hours of international clinical experience using the NADA protocol (along with other acupuncture points and treatment modalities) in partnership with Western behavioral health services. Thus, I have seen first-hand the overwhelming evidence of what the latest research studies support--that the NADA protocol is an effective and efficient treatment that can help you relax, manage stress, tame addictions and OCD tendencies, sleep better, and feel more focused and at ease in your body and in all aspects of your life.

The ear acupuncture protocol offered at VFW Post #3150 is being used by the VA and volunteer groups around the country to support veterans and active duty military personnel. It may help you to relax, manage stress, sleep better, and feel more focused and at ease. Participation in these group sessions will be kept strictly confidential, and immediate family members are welcome to come with you, as well as participate in the treatment sessions if desired. Here are one veteran’s comments on receiving ear acupuncture:

For me, every session provides relaxation and a calmness that I have rarely found since returning home from Iraq. My fellow vet and I started out by receiving ear acupuncture and we found the treatment extremely beneficial in helping improve sleep and reducing war-related military stress… acupuncture is something I always look forward to because of the many emotional and physical benefits it provides.
